Vision

EyeLight Media exists to develop and produce Christ-centered, Biblically based films that have the potential to impact viewers around the world with the truth and relevancy of the principles found in God's Word.

The vision for EyeLight Media sprang from the testimony given by Tom Lester ( "Eb" from Green Acres ) at a evangelistic crusade in Gadsden, AL in 1986. "The call was clear and the vision has only grown stronger" says Daniel P. Johnson, founder of EyeLight Media.

The word "eyelight" came from concepts contained within Scripture:

Matthew 6:22-23 - "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therfore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!"

Proverbs 15:30 - "The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart..."

When compared to the massive amount of film that "Hollywood" generates, the Christian film industry is hardly visible. Film production is an expensive venture. EyeLight Media is seeking individuals who are interested in funding film projects that promote Truth.

But, before you can agree with us about the need for Christ-centered films, you must have first tasted of His tender love and mercy, or else you will have no basis for understanding this vision.
